I realized there was knitting that wasn't listed in the square patterns themselves (connecting pieces) and suddenly the amount of work left to do overwhelmed me. I doubt it will be done in time but I'll still bring it so I can show them.Nancynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5645965.post-22287892947245609272011-07-28T12:20:09.465-04:002011-07-28T12:20:09.465-04:00I'm a little late to the party, but have to as...I'm a little late to the party, but have to ask: did you finish? It is gorgeous, and has the look of a fun summer project (small squares - easy knitting that won't make you melt), but does look like something that would easily inflict knitting ADD on someone. So please, do tell! Oh, and glad you're back. I've been into blog avoidance lately as well.Julienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5645965.post-17463440576387451212011-07-12T16:05:07.000-04:002011-07-12T16:05:07.000-04:00Sure you do;) Isn't a washcloth just another ...Sure you do;) Isn't a washcloth just another square? And I'm trying to be a better blogger, too.

I think you can make it to the wedding, I really do. If you can do the 2 1/2 squares in one week, then each long strip in a week, that leaves a week to put it together. That's a way better gift than a toaster, too, and even if you are a little late, I'm sure the blissful couple will be able to wait a tiny bit longer for something like this - it's worth the wait and they will have it forever.Susannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5645965.post-29093090164246674472010-02-20T22:36:15.000-05:002010-02-20T22:36:15.000-05:00Seriously, I signed up for Ravelympics and I'v...Seriously, I signed up for Ravelympics and I've knit 10 rows, lost my place in the pattern, got turned around and now I'm lost. I am feeling so confused because I know I've seen the socks but I haven't seen the helmet liner. I know what you mean about gauge. For some reason, when I started knitting I always knit to gauge, no problems, so I got into the bad habit of not checking or being very lax about gauge, which has led me to a world of pain now on some projects. I hope you get over the gauge hurdle and cruise along on the helmet liner. I don't mind knitting ribbing -- if only we lived closer, I could knit the ribbing (to gauge of course!) and then you could finish off with stockinette.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5645965.post-64896038520822391052010-02-04T18:23:29.245-05:002010-02-04T18:23:29.245-05:00Bloody hell!
